The short answer
The simplest way to send funnel leads to a CRM is a webhook: your funnel POSTs each lead to a URL your CRM, Zapier or Make gives you. Include the answers, the ad and the click ids as flat fields, so the CRM can map them.
What a webhook is
A webhook is a message one app sends to another the moment something happens. When a lead submits, the funnel sends their details to a web address. The app at that address, such as a CRM, Zapier or Make, receives them and does the rest.
What to send with each lead
- Contact details: Name, email, phone.
- Answers: Each question by name, with a readable label for choice answers.
- Result: Score, result page and whether they qualified.
- Source: UTMs, campaign, ad set, ad and placement.
- Click ids: fbclid, gclid, ttclid and the rest, for sending conversions back later.
- Consent: What the visitor agreed to and when.
Where to send it
- GoHighLevel: An Inbound Webhook trigger in a workflow.
- Zapier: Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook. Then any of Zapier's apps.
- Make: A custom webhook module at the start of a scenario.
- HubSpot and others: Through Zapier or Make, or a small receiver of your own.
Check it came from your funnel
A webhook URL can be called by anyone who finds it. Sign each request with a shared secret and check the signature on the receiving end, so fake leads are refused.
Unfunnel signs each request with an X-Unfunnel-Signature header: an HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and body, keyed with your workspace's secret.
Bookings and completions too
Leads are not the only moment worth sending. A booked call webhook lets your CRM move the contact to "booked", and a completion webhook can catch people who finished without leaving details.
