The short answer
To qualify leads before they book, ask two or three questions that decide fit, such as budget, size and timing, inside the funnel. Use answer rules to show the calendar only to people who fit, and send everyone else a useful resource instead of a call.
Decide what a good fit is
Write down what a lead must have for a call to be worth it. Usually it is a budget, a size, a timeline or a must-have, like a license or a location. Two or three rules is enough.
Turn the rules into questions
Each rule becomes a tap question with clear choices. Say price bands plainly. Visitors appreciate knowing early, and it saves both sides a call that cannot close.
- Budget: "What can you invest?" with price bands.
- Size: Team size, revenue band or home size.
- Timing: This month, this quarter, just exploring.
- Must-have: "Do you have a CDL?" for a driving job.
Route good fits to the calendar
Put the calendar right after the form, only on the path for good fits. Fill in the name and email they already typed, so booking is one more tap.
Give everyone else a kind no
People who do not fit today might next year. Send them to a guide, a cheaper product or a newsletter. They leave with something, and you keep them on your list.
Tell your ad platform who is good
Fire a separate event for qualified leads, such as CompleteRegistration on Meta, and optimise for it. The ad platform then looks for more people like the ones who qualify, not just the ones who fill in forms.
In Unfunnel, a qualified ending fires CompleteRegistration once per visit and a disqualified one does not.
